Questions

Frequently asked

What exactly do I get in the newsletter? +

Each issue contains 5 carefully curated ideas — typically 1-2 original long-form essays written specifically for 4space, 1-2 ideas from elsewhere that we've found and contextualized, and 1 "quick shot" concept in 200 words or less. Plus links to the best discussions happening in the community that week.

What's the difference between free and paid? +

Free subscribers get the weekly newsletter and access to the ideas published in the last 30 days. Paid Voyager members get the full archive (380+ ideas), can post in community forums, submit their own ideas for publication, and join all our live events. Pioneer members get everything plus direct editorial collaboration.

Do I need any background knowledge? +

None. We write for curious people, not specialists. If we use technical concepts, we explain them. The only prerequisite is genuine curiosity and a willingness to have your assumptions challenged. Many of our most active members have no formal science background — and often ask the best questions.

Can I cancel my paid membership? +

Absolutely, anytime. No questions, no friction. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your billing period, then drop to the free tier. We'd also love to know why you're cancelling — it helps us build something better.

The universe is transmitting. Are you receiving?
